B.B.A. SYNERGY

In order to meet the challenging needs of corporate world environment, it is not just sufficient for a student of management to be sound theoretically but must also be exposed to the outer world in a dynamic way to face practical situation. Management club was started in the year 2013 to enrich and empower the students with academic and technical excellence. Two events conducted in each semester.

Objectives

• To expose students to meet the practical challenges in the current business scenario.
• To let the students interact with business experts of industry.
• To encourage students to become event managers.
• To build self confidence and proactive approach.

Commerce Club SPARK was inaugurated on 6th September 2013 with the main objective to provide a platform to the student to show their talent and build self-confidence and get more knowledge to face the present day market requirement.

Through this club we have conducted various events like Debate, Creative ads, Business Quiz, Group Seminar, Self Introduction-Ice Breaker, Cart-It, Toast Masters etc.

All these activities are intended to make the students participate in huge number and get motivated to improve themselves in required area. In future also this club will be providing students the knowledge they need and help them to build themselves into knowledgeable and better human beings.

English Club 'ELITE'

The Department of English in Sri Krishna Degree College has been travelling along the path of sincere commitment to its learners. It has grown developed and evolved itself with an objective of imparting good language skills to the students and doing its bit to add to the prestige of the college.

The department of English is endowed with an adequately competent faculty and all its members work with untiring zeal to meet the requirements of this curriculum. The forte of the department is its sincere commitment to all the academic assignments that come its way.

The department, every year conducts various activities to develop the English language skill of its students so that, they are competent enough in this globalized world. It conducts language seminars, debates, essay writing, word building, quiz, poetry writing, picture composition, etc. to built confidence in their proficiency of language.

The department of English is headed by prof. Kavitha Venugopal (M.A, M.Phil.) and well supported by Asst. Prof. Madhuri Kiran Godkhindi (M.A.)

Hindi Club 'Gyan Kiran'

Hindi Department is conducting good number of activities to enhance the competency according to the demand of the market and need of the students. The department conducted Hindi typing workshop, translation workshop, letter writing skills to the students which help them to face competitive examination and to utilize the opportunities for the Hindi officer’s post, Hindi translators, Hindi computer operator, Hindi DTP and for other job oppurnities.

The department has conducted intercollegiate competition like Hindi essay, translation and Hindi solo singing competition, good number of students took part in the events, the department has also conducted interclass competition like seminars, pick and speak, translation and essay competition, in all the events students took part very enthusiastically, certificates and prizes are distributed to the winners, our students participated in other colleges and also won the prizes.

students have the habit of writing poems in Hindi and articles also, the students have studied Hindi language students are admitted for all the streams like B.COM, BBA and BCA. They admitted the companies like, Infosys and in other MNCs, in all the sem in university exams the departments have 100% results.

ನವಚೈತನ್ಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಬಳಗದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭೋತ್ಸವ

ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು 1,500 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸವಿದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿ, ಬೆಳಸಿ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯುವುದು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಆದ್ಯ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಿ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಿ ಭಾಷಾ ಸಾಮಥ್ರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಯಿಂದ 'ನವಚೈತನ್ಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಬಳಗ'ವನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಇದರ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ದಿನಾಂಕ 25-03-2014ರಂದು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು.

ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಬೇಲೂರು ರಾಮಮೂರ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ವಿದ್ಯಾಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಡಾ. ಎಂ. ರುಕ್ಮಾಂಗದ ನಾಯ್ಡುರವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನೆರವೇರಿತು.

ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡನಾಡಿನ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಸಂಭ್ರಮದ ವಾತಾವರಣವಿತ್ತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಕನ್ನಡನಾಡು ನುಡಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುವಂತಹ ಸಮೂಹ ನೃತ್ಯ, ಗಾಯನ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರೊಜೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡಿನ ಹಿರಿಮೆಯ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ವಿವರಣೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಸಾಹಿತಿ, ಸೃಜನಶೀಲ ಬರವಣಿಗೆಗಾರರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಬೇಲೂರು ರಾಮಮೂರ್ತಿಯವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹಾಸ್ಯಚಟಾಕಿಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಭೆ ನಗೆಗಡಲಲ್ಲಿ ತೇಲುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಸಭೆಯನ್ನುದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ "ಹಾಸ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಪರಿಕರಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಬದುಕು ಹಾಗೂ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಪರಿಸರದಿಂದ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವ ಶಕ್ತಿ ನಮಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ಟೀಕಿಸುವ ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿಸುವಂತಹ ಹಾಸ್ಯವಾಗಬಾರದು. ಶುದ್ಧ ತಿಳಿಯಾದ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗಬೇಕು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿರುವ ಈ 'ನವಚೈತನ್ಯ' ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರೇ ಅರ್ಥಗರ್ಭಿತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಚೈತನ್ಯ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅದು ನಿತ್ಯ ನವನವೀನವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳ್ಳೊಳ್ಳೆಯ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಓದುವ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹವ್ಯಾಸ ಬೆಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು" ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿದೆಯೆಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಿದರು.

ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಡಾ.ರುಕ್ಮಾಂಗದ ನಾಯ್ಡುರವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ. "ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡು, ನುಡಿಯು ವೈಭವದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿರುವಂತಹುದು, ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಭಂಡಾರವೇ ಈ ನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಎಂಟು ಜ್ಞಾನಪೀಠ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳು ಈ ಭಾಷೆಗೆ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಬೇಕೆ, ಅನೇಕ ರಾಜವಂಶಗಳು,ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು, ಸಂತರು, ದಾಸರು, ಶರಣರು, ಕವಿಗಳು, ಸಮಾಜ ಸುಧಾರಕರು, ಸಾಧಕರು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಪುಣ್ಯಭೂಮಿಯಿದು. ಈ ನಾಡಿನ ಏಳಿಗೆಗಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಮುನ್ನುಗ್ಗುವೆನು" ಎಂದು ಭಾವುಕರಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಪುಷ್ಠಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

Cultural Forum

The Cultural Forum 'KALAYAANA' conducts various cultural activities with the main objective of providing a platform for students to exhibit and develop their talents and build their self-confidence. Each year, a wide variety of artistic, literary and other creative talents are identified and recognized through a week-long series of interclass competitions held. Students are also provided opportunities to win more accolades in intercollegiate competitions.

The cultural forum conducts National Level Intercollegiate fest named KMACIT every year, to inculcate competitive spirit among the students.

An occasion of feasting or celebration, can be seen when the forum conducts a day of religious significance like Ganesh Utsav.and in other occasions like Fresher’s day, College annual day.

To develop organising skill among the students, a body of student council is elected who help in organising all the events conducted by the cultural forum.
