Sri Krishna Group of Institutions celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism, featuring a series of events including marchpast and cultural performances by students, and speeches highlighting the significance of independence and the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. The Chief Guest for the day was Wg Cdr K G Rao (Retd), presided by Founder-Chairman Dr M Rukmangada Naidu. The flag was hoisted by the dignitaries accompanied by the heads of various departments. The chief guest gave a brief speech on how the students are the future of our nation and how they should be responsible for their behavior and what they should do to make our country proud. The program concluded with the National Anthem.

On August 14 & 15, the NSS unit of Sri Krishna Degree College organized a Rangoli and Drawing competition for the students of adopted Arehalli Government Higher Primary School as part of Independence Day celebrations. Advocate Sandeep Patil, a Supreme Court lawyer, was the chief guest for the event. The winning students were awarded prizes during the celebration. The event was attended by the college staff, the school's headmistress, and other staff members.

The NSS Unit and Red Ribbon Club of Sri Krishna Degree College, in collaboration with the Vivekananda Self-Inspired Blood Bank, organized a "Mega Blood Donation Camp" on 01.06.2024 with participation from students and the public. Approximately 120 people donated blood at the event.

Career Guidance and Placement Cell organised JOB MELA on Saturday, 13th April 2024 in association with FRESHERSJOBFAIR.IN. 50+ Companies participated in the Job Mela. The jobs offered a salary range from 15K to 60 K per month.
 
Around 500 Freshers and Experienced Graduates from different colleges and our college students attended Job mela. The event was coordinated by Mrs Deepa K and Ms Megha G.

The 75th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Sri Krishna Group of Institutions on 26th January 2024. The students saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves to upholding the honor and integrity, diversity and uniqueness that is “ India”.

Career Guidance and Placement cell of Sri Krishna Degree College organized workshop on “Campus to Corporate” Pre-Placement and Qualitative Aptitude Training for 5th Semester Bcom, BBA, BCA Students. The Pre-Placement and Qualitative Aptitude Training, scheduled from 20/11/2023 to 24/11/2023, for 30hrs represents a significant initiative led by the Training & Placement Cell. Mr. Rajendra Kulkarni serves as the resource person for the pre-placement training/workshop, while Mr. Praveen Jadav and Mr. Abhilash take charge of quantitative aptitude. Tailored for students entering their Fifth semester, this five-day program aims to comprehensively address various aspects of employability skills. Its overarching objective is to empower and enhance students, equipping them for the challenges of upcoming recruitment drives. Beyond the development of technical skills, the training places a strong emphasis on overall personality development, aligning with the broader goal of helping students achieve their professional aspirations. The program is strategically designed to replicate real-time industry scenarios, providing students with hands-on experiences that facilitate exponential learning. Key components include activity-based learning on aptitude test modules and sessions covering personality development, etiquette, attitude, resume writing, group discussions, and personal interviews. The training concludes with post-employability assessments, ensuring that students not only excel in the recruitment process but also possess the skills necessary for sustained success in their careers.

AI & ML (Internship and Career Guidance):  Workshop. The Department of BCA at SRI Krishna College orchestrated an intellectually invigorating one-day workshop on November 10th, delving deep into the realms of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Focused on providing both internship opportunities and career guidance, the workshop was a catalyst for students' professional growth. The workshop was graced by the presence of industry stalwarts—Ramkumar, the Vice President, and Deepak, the Director of Rubixe Company, renowned for their pioneering work in the domain. The event was an intersection of academia and industry, fostering knowledge exchange and practical insights. The enthusiastic participation of  BCA students underscored the event's significance in nurturing budding talents and shaping future tech leaders. The esteemed Academic Director, Mr. Manohar, and the esteemed Principal, Dr. Usha Kumari provided their insights offering a panoramic view of the opportunities and challenges in the AI and ML landscape. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrated at Sri Krishna Degree College on 31 st October 2023 SKDC NSS unit organized “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day)” on 31.10.2023. In India, the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas or National Unity Day is observed every year on October 31 since 2014, to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to honour and celebrate his dedication towards serving and unifying India. This year marks the 147th anniversary of the great leader who played an instrumental role in India’s struggle for independence, and later during the integration of the country. SKDC NSS Unit celebrated Unity Run by offering floral tribute to Sardar Vallabhai Patel, taking pledge, slogans  at College. All participants offered floral Tributes to Iron man of India Shri. Sardar Vallabhai Patel and took a pledge to strive for unity.

This campaign was started on October 2, 2014. Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi freed the country from slavery, but his dream of 'Clean India' was not fulfilled.

*The Programme of Swatch Seva is organized by Sri Krishna Degree College  on 02nd October,2023. NSS Volunteers have taken active participation in the campaign by cleaning Adopted park (Sri Kanteshwara park), sri kanteshwara temple and Indira canteen ITI Layout,Chennammanakere Busstop. He advised them not to send their parents to the old age homes and take care of them personally. SKIES TECH CLUB Event was conducted on 09-Jun-2023 by the Department of BCA, Students & Staff. SKDC Department of BBA  visited the popular Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation Ltd (KSIC) on 26th May 2023 , the Silk Weaving Factory situated in Mananthody Road, Mysore. The students were happy to visit the silk factory that was established in 1912 by the Maharaja of Mysore Province which was manufacturing and suppling silk fabricsto meet the requirements of the royal family and ornamental fabrics to their armed forces. The students learnt from the factory people that looms and preparatory machines of the factory wereimported from Switzerland and was the First of its kind in India. In 1980 the silk weaving factory was handed over to Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation Ltd, a Government of Karnataka enterprise and popularly known as KSIC. 90 students and Four faculty members visited the factory and watched the weaving process. They saw the KSIC sarees ranging fromRs. 18000 to Rs. 3, 40, 000 ( manufactured recently with its grandeur). The students were happy to visit the factory which is more than 100 years old.

Industrial Visit to MANMUL Dairy Mandya 15th April 2023 by PG Department Mcom Around 40 Students and 3 Faculty members visited.It was a great opportunity for the students to visit one of the most renowned Dairy Industries in India and acquire knowledge about the production line. During the visit, students visited and saw the making of various processes like Milk, Paneer and Butter preparation, etc.It was a wonderful and interactive visit, where the students understood the production processes, products and operations of one of the best examples of co- operative achievement in a developing economy.

The team had meetings with the Principal and IQAC coordinator Prof. Deepa K, The Peer Team during its visit assessed and evaluated curricular, teaching and learning activities, research work, extension, infrastructure and learning facilities, and other aspects of the college. They held interactions with IQAC, all departments, teaching staff, non-teaching staff, students, alumni, governing body and parents and visited all academic facilities, administrative and support services. Students displayed various cultural forms to make the huge audience spellbound.They checked documentary evidence, prepared their report and held an exit meeting with faculty members. They handed over its report to the Principal in its exit meeting on 16th February 2023The Governing Body, Principal, NAAC coordinators, the entire teaching and non-teaching staff, students, parents, alumni and everyone cooperated for smooth sailing during the visit. This entire process has enabled the Sri Krishna Degree College to assess its capabilities as an institution.Sri Krishna Degree College has got A+ grade with a CGPA score of 3.48 in the second cycle of academic evaluation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

On account of world environment day 2023, Planting of saplings and cleaning the adopted park, Srikanteshwara park, making it a plastic free zone by students of Skdc.The activities were conducted  by the NSS cell and  Environment Cell of SKDC

On 5th June 2023 on occasion of Environmental Day, Sri Krishna Degree College organised a Program on Declaring plastic free zone and plastic cleaning campaign at Lalbagh * in collaboration with Vruksha Seva Prathishtana  as an awareness towards increasing use of single use plastic and its hazardous effects on environment. Students actively participated through both words and action by giving speeches on plastic pollution and picking up plastic waste and disposals scattered on Lal bagh.

The Women’s Cell and the NSS wing of Sri Krishna Degree College celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8, 2023, in collaboration with the United Religion Initiative (URI) and Service Civil International (SCI) at the SKDC auditorium, Bangalore.

The chief guests of the event were Smt. Meera Shivlingaiah, secretary, S.B. Education Society, Mandya. She is a renowned educationist, social worker, and Rotarian who has contributed much in the field of children’s education in Mandya district; and Dr. C.N.N. Raju, former Global Trustee, URI, Bangalore.

United Religion Initiative (URI) and Service Civil International (SCI) have felicitated the achievers of their associations who have put in great efforts and strived to serve people in need and in the field of women’s education. These personalities are Greshma P. Raju, Pushpavathi, SCI, Lavanya, SCI, and Mrs. Puneetha Nadar, a social worker. The event was presided over by the founder and chairman of SKIET, Dr.Rukmangadha Naidu, who spoke about the importance of women’s education in India. The event was held in the presence of the Academic Director of SKDC, Prof. S.P. Manohar, and the Principal of SKDC, Dr. N. Ushakumari. The event was well attended by the staff and students of SKDC.

The process of assessment began with an in-depth interaction with the principal of the college, Dr. Ushakumari N. The team had meetings with the principal and IQAC coordinator, Prof. Deepa K. The Peer Team during its visit assessed and evaluated curricular, teaching, and learning activities, research work, extension, infrastructure and learning facilities, and other aspects of the college. They held interactions with IQAC, all departments, teaching and non-teaching staff, students, alumni, the governing body, and parents, and visited all academic facilities and administrative and support services. Students displayed various cultural forms to spellbind the huge audience.

They checked documentary evidence, prepared their report, and held an exit meeting with faculty members. They handed over their report to the principal in their exit meeting on February 16, 2023.

The Governing Body, Principal, NAAC Coordinators, the entire teaching and non-teaching staff, students, parents, alumni, and everyone else cooperated for smooth sailing during the visit. This entire process has enabled the Sri Krishna Degree College to assess its capabilities as an institution.

Sri Krishna Degree College received an A+ grade with a CGPA score of 3.48 in the second cycle of academic evaluation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Our sight definitely makes up as one of the dominant senses based on our daily reliance on. A regular sight test is one of the most vital health check-ups for eyes; it can help recognize early signs of eye conditions even before the warning symptoms show up. However, owing to the busy schedule and lack of awareness about the importance of regular sight check, many of us neglect our eye health until it starts to affect our daily activities. Keeping this in mind Sri Krishna Degree College Conducted Free Eye Screening Camp for Students and Faculty of Sri Krishna Degree College on 16th November 2022 around 350 students 40 Teaching and non teaching staff were tested.

Although the initial goal was set to create 10,000 Ganesha idols, only 3,308 idols could be created, making it to the records book.

The Chief Guest for the day was Mr Muralidhar KS a renowned Socialist and the Guest of Honour was Sri CB Shankara Narayan Rao a freedom fighter who was recently felicitated by the present Governor of Karnataka Thawar Chand Gehlot.

The flag was hoisted by the dignitaries accompanied by the heads of various departments.

The chief guest gave a brief speech on how the students are the future of our nation and how they should be responsible for their behavior and what they should do to make our country proud.

The program concluded with the National Anthem.

#KALARAV 2022  was an annual National level inter-collegiate Commerce, Management, Information technology, cultural, and Sports fest, which provided a great opportunity for the students to involve themselves in various activities which were quite diverse and challenging.

World Environment day was celebrated in the college on 4th, 5th and 6th of June 2022 in collaboration with Suvernamukhi Samskruthi Dhama, Vaderahalli, Bengaluru, from the Environmental cell and NSS unit of the college. On 4th and 5th of June 2022, the day was observed by planting more saplings in which the students of Sri Krishna Degree College participated. The organization also conducted an environmental awareness program which was attended by the students of SKDC along with several environmentalists. The program was presided by the president of Suvernamukhi Samskruthi Dhama, Dr. M. Nagaraju, environmentalist, Siddharth, and by BBMP senior doctor, Dr. Shobha. The program was a great success.

On 6th of June 2022, a medicinal plant Garden was set up in the college campus grounds by planting few medicinal plants by the students and staff of the institution. The program was jointly organized by the Environmental Cell and NSS unit of the college.

Women’s Day celebrates the very essence of women all over the world. This day marks the importance of why women should be treated equally without any bias or prejudice. On March 8, Women’s Day is commemorated to honor women of all ages and races in a world where they can live freely and up to their own terms. Women have always been suppressed by some kind of force that has restricted their choices and freedom. But as times are progressing, women are rising up to their full potential and taking steps to ensure they have the means, choice and freedom to speak, and do whatever they want.

All women employees at Sri Krishna Degree College were in Pink Color dress. When they entered College a warm welcome was given to all women employees by all male colleague followed by cake cutting, the cake, on the name of women’s day, Cake being cut by the faculty members from various departments. And male colleagues arranged Lunch for women employees. All the volunteers along with the management came together to work for the cause of children in Vidyapeeta ward for 4 days to avoid the dreadful polio disease.

The entire Degree College Students assembled at the auditorium. The Founder Chairman, Academic Director and Principal and Mr Nagaraj Founder of Vivekananda Kala Kendra Inaugurated. Our Students participated one act play highlighting the Struggle of our Freedom fighters before independence was presented that brought tears to everyone’s eyes. At the end, the Chairman gave a speech reminding the students and the Lecturers of the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters and made us take pledge that we will serve our motherland, India with heart, body, and soul to bring it glory and laurels with our dignified deeds.

Kavitha Venugopal.  The inaugural address was rendered by the Principal of the college, Dr. Usha Kumari , which was complemented  by a speech by the Academic Director,  Prof. S. P. Celebration of Constitution Day of India on 26th November 2021 by NSS Unit of Sri Krishna Degree College.

In a bid to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of independent India, 26th of November is celebrated as the Constitution Day of India. This year, it marks the 72nd anniversary of the historic event that marked the dawn of a new era back in 1949.

The day, which is also known as Samvidhan Divas or National Law Day or National Constitution Day, also is celebrated to raise awareness about the Indian Constitution.

Industrial Visit to Sula Vineyards Channapatna and excursion to Talakadu and Shivanasamudra was arranged by BBA Department. Around 85 Students and 4 Faculty members visited.

SULA Vines founded in 1998 is a winery and vineyard that holds a market share of almost 70% in the Indian wine industry. The winery has admirably developed into a world-class winery with Little Italy and Soma (two restaurants), The Gift Shop, The Bottle Shop, and The Tasting Room in its premises. It welcomes visitors all-round the year to enjoy a tour, tastings, and be a part of fun events.

The industrial visit helped our students gain hands-on practical knowledge on industrial processes and its core management concepts. They learned about key stages of the winemaking process using advanced machines. The students were glad to see how the white and red wines are prepared.

An executive at Sula Vineyard introduced students to the winemaking team who are tasked with checking the quality of grapes during the harvest season. They intricately check grape’s taste as well as sugar and acid levels.

Students also visited the stockroom where the wine is stored in huge oak barrels.

Deepavali festival was celebrated at Sri Krishna Degree College  on 4th November 2021. Founder Chairman Dr. M Rukmangada Naidu, Faculties and Students Lighted the Lamp and Diyas on the occasion of Festival of Lights.

An IQAC Initiative Orientation Program on NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY 2020 for students and parents was conducted in the college premises. Quality Initiative Program, National level Faculty Development Program On National Education Policy 2020 was held on 1st October 2021. Around 40 participants attended the FDP.

On the occasion of World Heart Day, NSS unit of Sri Krishna Degree College organized the " Significance of Exercise for healthy heart" program on 29th September 2021 at 11:00 am. The program was held at the Open Air Auditorium.

Founder Chairman of Sri Krishna Group of Institution Dr. M Rukmangada Naidu enlighten all those gathered on the importance of our heart, and how best to take care of it and briefed about the importance of Exercise, Yoga for Healthy life, Principal Dr. Ushakumari N also addressed the students, Mr. Manjunath Physical Education Director and NSS Prog. Officer - Mr. Avinash, instructed students with simple exercises A total of 120 participants were present for this program.

The NSS Volunteers of Sri Krishna Degree College lent their services in the conduct of the Army exam held in the Kendriya Vidyalaya Malleshwaram, Bangalore-55 on 28th September 2021. As many as 15 NSS volunteers participated in the programme. They assisted the authorities in preparing the classrooms for the examination. They also provided help to the candidates by giving proper directions in finding their respective exam halls. The volunteers also extended help in the parking area by directing vehicles to proper free slots.

Teachers are the cornerstone of students’ future. The teacher’s day was celebrated by the Management of Sri Krishna Group of Institutions on 24th September 2021 to express their gratitude for the immense contribution put forth by their teachers towards the development of students. The final-year students of the Sri Krishna Degree College celebrated their last moments together by organizing a ‘Signature Day’ on 18th August 2021. The campus saw students writing messages and sketching smileys and caricatures on each other’s faces and clothes before parting ways. The day was full of celebration and also some last-minute bonding with buddies.

All the students celebrated signature Day by flying helium balloons.

Counseling Cell organized a webinar on " Art of Mind Management and Emotional Balance" through Zoom meeting. Sri Vallabha Chaitanya Dasa is a Youth Guide & Presenter, FOLK - Youth Empowerment Club, ISKCON Bangalore. He pursued his graduation from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore & has worked with MNC's like Infosys, Hewlett Packard (HP). He is experienced in giving talks to thousands of youngsters on the topics of happiness, digital distractions, community service, volunteering & spirituality.

A webinar was organised by Department of Hindi and NSS Cell on “ कोविडकाल मे प्राणयाम का वैज्ञानिक महत्व - Scientific Pranayama at the time of Covid ” as a part of IQAC initiative.

STUDENT WEBINAR was organized with ALUMNI Association ® of Sri Krishna Degree College on the topic COLLEGE TO CORPORATE : TIPS AND TRICKS  by Mr. Harsha K V, Key Accounts Manager, Razorpay (Alumni, SKDC BBA) on 22 -05-2021 at  11 A M through Google Meet Platform. Faculty Coordinator Prof. Hamsaveni D, Students from Final Year Bcom, BBA, and BCA participated in the event.

A Sanskrit Webinar was organised by the college. It was an interesting and a diverse personality development session as described in Bhagavadgeetha is held on 21-05-21 at 11AM.

A team of three regular Auditors and an Observer Auditor, all from BSCIC, conducted the first Surveillance Audit of the College successfully on 22.04.2021 after the ISO 9001:2015 Re-certification Audit 28^th February 2020.  The ISO certifying agency BSCIC conducts Surveillance Audits every year to ensure that the institution is complying with the provisions of the ISO Standards. The team consisting of Mr. Narasimha Prasad and Management Representative, Dr Shylaja Department of Hindi SKDC, made all arrangements for the conduct of the Audit. The Auditors have thoroughly checked the various processes of the College and expressed extreme satisfaction in the fact that the processes are all ISO Standards compliant. After this Audit, the College will have the distinction of being an ISO 9001:2015 Standards compliant institution.

Around 120 participants comprising UG and PG students from Commerce and Management stream of Affiliated Colleges from various Colleges Especially Bangalore participated .

As a part of the curriculum under Business Skill Development Practical subject, 43 students from first year BBA Students along with Faculty Mrs Deepa K. HOD, BBA and Ms. Madhurya, Assistant Prof, Sri Krishna Degree College visited ESS Multi Foods Pvt. Ltd., Yelchenahalli, Kanakapura Main Road, Bangalore - 560078.

ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಂಧಿಯ 73ನೇ ಪುಣ್ಯಸ್ಮರಣೆಯ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಸರ್ವೋದಯ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಒಂದು ನಿಮಿಷ ಮೌನವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರಿಗೆ ನಮನವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಅವಿನಾಶ್ ರವರು ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ನುಡಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಡಾಕ್ಟರ್ ರುಕ್ಮಾಂಗದ ನಾಯ್ಡುರವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹರ್ಷವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ ಇದು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಸಂಗತಿ ಎಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವಿನಯವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಔನತ್ಯ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತದೆ.ನಮ್ಮ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳು ಏನಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರ ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ನೆನೆದರು ಸ್ವಯಂ ದುಡಿಮೆಯಿಂದ ಸ್ವಾವಲಂಬಿಯಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನಿಯಾಗಿ ಬದುಕಿ ಉನ್ನತ ಹುದ್ದೆಯನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿ. ಉನ್ನತವಾದ ಗುರಿ ಇರಲಿ ಎಂದರು ಗಾಂಧಿಗೆ ಸಾವಿಲ್ಲ ನಮ್ಮ ನಡುವೆ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಯಾವುದೋ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದೇ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಗಾಂಧಿ ನಮ್ಮೊಡನೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

A program was organized by the NSS unit of the college on 25/01/2021. The event commenced at 10 AM and went on till 12:00 PM. The main motto of the program was to popularizing electoral participation and disseminating information about electoral processes. It also focuses on all activities meant to generate voter awareness, thereby leading to voter empowerment and eventually strengthening participatory democracy in India, with particular emphasis on participation of youth. The staff members and students of the college were actively involved in the program.  

Cultural event was organised for Freshers to exhibit their talents. Mr and Ms Fresher from Bcom, BBA, BCA departments were selected. Our Senior students were invited as Judges for the event. Director Prof S P Manohar and Principal Dr. Ushakumari N were present.

The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Sri Krishna Group of Institutions on 26th January 2021. The students saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves in upholding the honour and integrity, diversity and uniqueness of “India”. We celebrated by following the safety precautions due to COVID-19 Pandemic.

NSS team celebrated the National Youth Day to honour the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on 12th January 2021 with enthusiasm and positivity by following all safety precautions. Academic Director Prof S P Manohar, Principal Dr. Ushakumari N , faculty members and students were present. The Photo of Swami Vivekananda was garlanded by the Director and the Principal. The traditional lamp was lit followed by Prayer.  Devotional songs were sung by the students. Director addressed the students about Swami Vivekananda.

The department of Kananada conducted a Kannada Webinar on the topic Khanda Kavyagalalli Mahila Pradhanyate on 29th June 2020  at 11:00 AM. 410 participants attended the webinar.

The Department of Hindi  of Sri Krishna Degree College organised an online Hindi literature Quiz " हिंदी साहित्यिक प्रश्नोत्तरी ". 502 people participated all over India. Dr. Shylaja, HOD Hindi Department coordinated the program.

Shyamala Kumari, Corporator of the Vidyapeeth Ward in association with NSS Cell of SKDC distributed essential food items i.e. rice, oil, wheat, sugar and pulses to around 70 House keepers and Drivers working in Sri Krishna Group of Institutions along with their salaries generously in the wake of deadly Corona Virus Pandemic on 13th April 2020 in the Premises of the institution by maintaining Social distance. Prof. Venugopal, PG Director, Prof S P Manohar, Academic Director and Dr. Ushakumari N, Principal SKDC were present.

Through the placement cell of SKDC , Rapsys Technology, HSR Layout, Bangalore conducted interview for students. Thefirst round was conducted on 11th April 2020 and Second round on 12th April 2020.In light of the recent coronavirus outbreak and with everyone’s health being priority at the moment, Sri Krishna Degree College is taking initiative to invite the companies and schedule the entire interview process virtually. Around 30 students took the telephonic interview and 10 students got shortlisted.

As we all are aware that owing to the deadly Corona Virus pandemic holiday declared to colleges, our Founder Chairman has granted permission to conduct online classes through Google Classroom from April 1st 2020. Under the guidence of Academic Director Prof. S. P. Manohar and Principal Dr. Ushakumari. N, lecturers are preparing the PDF and PPT along with audio, video for uploading on Google Classroom, YouTube and Gmail, thereby generating the information needed for the relevant classes and sharing the same to students.Students go through assignments which are given through the Google Classroom and write the correct answers and upload them to Google Classes. All classes have been successful with good feedback from the students and parents. Students learning from these classes is constantly on the move. Dr. M.Rukmanga Naidu, Founder Chairman of Sri Krishna Group of Institutions, expressed his delight at the cooperation of the faculty and students.

SKDC POST GRADUATE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND MANAGEMENT (M.COM /MBA) is dealing with the lock-down situation through engaging activities for the students. The teachers are regularly connecting with the students through online platforms by conducting Virtual classes, providing PDF notes, Online assignments, E-Project learning & Online tests to keep the students busy.As responsible citizens of the world's largest democracy, each one of us must follow the rules of social distancing, maintain strict hygiene and have faith that we shall overcome the situation very soon. With social distancing getting implemented, we have a chance to explore the possibilities of our online productivity and as we do that, we are walking towards sustainable education.  Everyone is online, let’s get online, stronger together. As we work from home in a sanitized surrounding, let’s practice social distancing with educational technology on digital space. Get online and build a community where ‘learning online’ becomes available and accessible.

SKIET PG Dept Of Commerce & Management ( M.COM & MBA ) organized Inbound activities for PG students . Various  activities were conducted to develop effective listening & communication skills. Activities like Card Pieces, Listen &  Draw,  Guess the Emotion,  Presentations, Memory test,  Campus round and Listen & talk activity was organised.

On 5th dec 2019 # SURAKSHA APP# Information was given by Chennamanakere Achukattu Police Station in association with SKIES about suraksha app.

The city police said that all steps are being taken to ensure safety for the public, especially women & children.

Women in distress can reach the police at the press of a button through the application. The police will track the person with the help of GPS within 9 minutes . Once the person is distress presses the button on the app, SMS along with location details of the person will be sent to the police control room. The team will take immediate action & update the command centre.

Blood Donation Camp by NSS Unit and Youth Red Cross Unit of Sri Krishna Degree College on 5th November 2019.

Blood Donation Camp was held at our college premises. 130 units of Blood was donated to Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Blood Bank. NSS Unit of Sri Krishna Degree College along with ABVP Remembered The legendary freedom fighter Shaheed Bhagat Singh on 30th September 2019 Bhagat Singh was born on September 28, 1907 Revolutionary died for the country when he was only 24 years old but his inspiring actions continued to stir the desire for freedom.

Our Founder chairman Dr. M Rukmangada Naidu addressed the Students that Bhagat Singh's courage, fearlessness, spirit of patriotism and sacrifice would inspire everyone forever.

 Capgemini conducted On campus drive in our college on 13th February 2019. 15 students got shortlisted for final HR round.

Sri Krishna Degree College organised One Day Workshop for students on the topic READ OUR CONSTITUTION on 8th February 2019 for the 1st and 2nd year students of all courses i.e Bcom,BBA and BCA respectively. A well known speaker Sri H.N. Nagamohandas Retired High court Judge Karnataka.delivered the lecture.

National Voters' Day or Rashtriya Matdata Diwas is celebrated on 25^th January 2019 by NSS Unit Sri Krishna Degree college . The significance of National Voters' Day is to encourage more young voters to take part in the political process. It is a day to celebrate the right to vote and vibrant democracy of India, to spread awareness among voters regarding effective participation in the electoral process. And our students took Voter’s Pledge and our Principal gave speech  about responsibility and importance of voting.

A book release function of Dr.N.UshaKumari, Principal, Sri Krishna Degree College is organised in the college auditorium at 5:00 PM on 13th October 2018.

Cultural and Academic competitions are conducted every year to all the students, by the cultural department, to bring out the talents and build competitive spirit among students. This year, the competitions were conducted on 21^st September 2018 from morning 10:00am to 4:00pm in different scheduled timings. The students participated in all the events enthusiastically and won prizes. All the prizes were announced in the auditorium at 4:00PM.

Entrepreneurs Day Celebrated on 19^th September 2018 to develop the entrepreneurial skill amongst the students. To appraise the students about the importance of becoming an entrepreneur, the chief guest Mr. Chetan Raj gave a speech on this. Then the students became the entrepreneurs by opening different stalls in which they sold different kinds of products, eatables to the students.

Inauguration of Mcom First Year classes for the Academic Year 2018-19, Orientation, Achiever’s appreciation.

Sri Sri Sri Vishveshwaratheertha Swamiji visited and blessed the students of Sri Krishna International Education Society on account of Krishanajanmasthami on 3^rd September 2018 . The College Management donated a sum of Rupees One lakh to the Swamiji to be donated to the Kodagu flood relief fund.

Sri Krishna Degree College celebrated the 72nd Independence day celebrations in the college premises. The chief guest for the day was Retired Col. Lt. G V Sreedhar Indian Army who consented to hoist the national flag. The function was presided over by our founder Dr. M Rukmangada Naidu and vice chairman mam Mrs. Jalaja Naidu.The chief guest gave a very impressive speech on discipline, obedience and patriotism. Our chairman sir asked students to remember our great leaders who have sacrifice their lives for India. The function also saw a beautiful March past by the students and patriotic songs sung by the students of school and college. All the heads of the institution along with the staff and students payed respect to National flag.

A great Orater, motivator Dr. Geetha Ramanujam Msc.,MA,Ph.D charmed the students through her inspiring speech.  To bring out the talents of the fresh entrants to the college, “Fresher’s Day “was conducted. The highlight of the day was to select one student as ‘Mr. Fresher’ and one as ‘Miss Fresher’ ,selection rounds were conducted and finally Miss Shwetha of Bcom become Miss Fresher and Master Sirish of Bcom became Mr.Fresher.
