The Discipline and Anti-Ragging Cell at Sri Krishna Degree College is established as per the regulations of UGC. The Cell’s responsibility is to ensure that students maintain discipline in the class rooms and within college campus. Members of the cell regularly meet each and every class to make note of errant behaviour and to make sure that the college campus is free from ragging and eve-teasing.
Students are requested to note that making a complaint is serious and therefore they are to use this power in a responsible manner. At the same time, the college assures students that once a complaint is made, it will be treated with sensitivity and confidentiality.
Students can make use of the suggestion boxes placed on different sections of the campus to make their complaints regarding ragging. They may also approach the members of the cell or any of their other teachers as is comfortable to them.

Ragging means doing an act which causes or likely to cause INSULT or ANNOYANCE or FEAR or APPREHENSION or THREAT or INTIMDATION or OUTRAGE of MODESTY or INJURY to a student.

Equal Opportunity Cell of Sri Krishna Degree college ensures that all students are treated as equal and attempts to address deep-seated inequalities in our system The cell, along with the NSS Unit, promotes awareness on the life and vision of Babasaheb Ambedkar. It also guides SC/ ST students too avail of all permissible scholarships and financial assistance.
Our college has always ensured that physically challenged students do not get left behind in the learning process. Teachers pay more attention to their special needs and provide them more encouragement and support by conducting special classes for them after college hours. Also, the staff and management make it their prerogative to provide scribes for these students during tests and exams.

Grievance Redressal Cell in Sri Krishna Degree College attempts to address genuine problems and complaints of students whatever be the nature of the problem. Students are encouraged to use the suggestion boxes placed on different sections of the campus to express constructive suggestions and grievances. They may also approach the members of the cell or any of their other teachers as is comfortable to them.
Students may also express their grievances by mail which is displayed in college notice board.

In pursuance of guidelines issued by Supreme Court, UGC and as per the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act, 2013, Prevention of Sexual Harassment cell is reconstituted to provide for the effective enforcement of the basic human rights of gender equality and guarantee against sexual harassment and abuse, and to provide conducive atmosphere in the campus, to all the staff members, employees and students of Sri Krishna Degree College.
The objectives of the Committee
- To prevent sexual harassment by promoting gender amity among staff, students and other employees.
- To deal with cases of sexual harassment in a time bound manner, aiming at ensuring support services to the victimized, prevention and termination of the harassment.
- Recommend appropriate redressal and punitive action against the guilty to the Management.
Definition of Sexual Harassment Behaviours that may constitute harassment are
- Verbal or Physical threats.
- Insulting, Abusive, Embarrassing or Patronizing behaviour or Comments.
- Offensive gestures, Language, Rumours, Gossip or Jokes.
- Humiliating, Intimidating, Demeaning and/or Persistent criticism, Open hostility.
- Suggestive comments or Body language.
- Isolation or Exclusion from normal work or study place.
- Publishing, Circulating or displaying pornographic, Racist, Sexually suggestive or otherwise offensive pictures or other materials.
- Unwanted physical contact, ranging from an invasion of space to a serious assault. The above list is not intended to be exhaustive.
The following is also sexual harassment and is covered by the committee
- Eve-teasing
- Unsavoury remarks
- Jokes causing or likely to cause awkwardness or embarrassment
- Innuendos and taunts
- Gender based insults or sexist remarks
- Unwelcome sexual overtone in any manner such as over telephone (obnoxious telephone calls) and the like
- Touching or brushing against any part of the body and the like
- Displaying pornographic or other offensive or derogatory pictures, cartoons, pamphlets or saying
- Forcible physical touch or molestation
- Physical confinement against one’s will and any other act likely to violate one's privacy
A complaint of sexual harassment may be lodged by the victim, in writing, addressed to the Convenor.
